The functional relationship between AtU2AF65b and ABI5 was further tested by using the abi5 atu2af65b‐1 double mutant. The flowering time of abi5 atu2af65b‐1 plants was similar to those of abi5 and atu2af65b single mutant plants (Fig. 5e,f), indicating that AtU2AF65b and ABI5 …

More importantly, DET1 recruits HDA6 to the ABI5 promoter thus coordinately inhibiting the activation of ABI5 by regulating the enrichment of H3K27ac and H3K4me3 modifications (Fig. 6, G–I–I). All these physiological, biochemical, and molecular evidence support the idea that HDA6 functions together with DET1 to coordinately inhibit the transcriptional activity of FHY3. The dgat1 mutant (CS3861) was purchased from TAIR.

Transgenic lines Col‐0 35S:ABI5‐MYC and bes1 Super:ABI5‐MYC were selected similarly (Fig. S2c,d). ABI5 overexpression rescued ppc2 seedling growth arrest under low CO 2 conditions. It has been reported that ABI3, ABI4, and ABI5 (the downstream targets of the ABA signaling pathway) are required for ABA modulation of seed germination and post-germination development (Finkelstein and Lynch, 2000; Lopez-Molina et al., 2001).

2021-03-06 · Encodes a member of the basic leucine zipper transcription factor family, involved in ABA signalling during seed maturation and germination. The Arabidopsis abscisic acid (ABA)-insensitive abi5 mutants have pleiotropic defects in ABA response, including decreased sensitivity to ABA inhibition of germination and altered expression of some ABA-regulated genes.

ABI5 is important for TAG accumulation during stress ABI5 is induced by low-nitrogen stress [2], but the function of ABI5 with respect to TAG accumulation under stress is still un-known. To further investigate the relationship between ABI5 and ABI5 acts as a positive regulator in ABA signaling, regulating both seed germination and post‐germinative seedling development (Finkelstein and Lynch 2000).

Member of a small gene family in Arabidopsis containing 4 proteins (LNC1-4 or CRWN 1-4) with redundant functions in protection from oxidative damage, control of nuclear morphology and degradation of ABI5. TAIR Curator Summary The SOAR1 gene encodes a pentatricopeptide repeat (PPR) protein which localizes to both the cytosol and nucleus. Down-regulation of SOAR1 strongly enhances, but up-regulation of SOAR1 almost completely impairs, ABA responses, revealing that SOAR1 is a critical, negative, regulator of ABA signalling.

Abstract ABI5-BINDING PROTEIN2 (AFP2) negatively regulates the abscisic acid signal by accelerating ABI5 degradation during seed germination in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). The abscisic acid signal is reported to delay flowering by up-regulating Flowering Locus C expression, but the role of AFP2 in regulating flowering time is unknown. The triple mutant had greatly reduced phosphorylation activity in in-gel kinase experiments using basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factors including ABI5. Microarray experiments revealed that 48 and 30% of the down-regulated genes in abi5 and abi3 seeds were suppressed in the triple mutant seeds, respectively. Moreover, disruption of the three protein kinases induced global changes in the up-regulation of ABA-repressive gene expression, as well as the down-regulation of ABA Abitaré Day Spa & Salon is an Aveda salon located in Crystal River, FL.
